After my first trip to West Virginia, I fell absolutely in love with the Mountain state. I couldn’t wait to go back so I took some time off work and wanted to explore more of the state and the beauty it holds.
Lake Placid is home to so much history and serene beauty, and if it's not already on your bucket list then it needs to be. The Adirondack Mountains are very popular all year long, especially in the fall time. The Lake Placid area is one of the better-known towns in the mountain range, most likely due to the vast amount of outdoor activities.
The park protects and preserves 53 miles of the new river and the 70,000+ acres of the gorge created by the river. The gorge has been a longtime cherished playground with lots of history in West Virginia.
If you’ve never heard of Stowe, Vermont, I’d be shocked. Pictures from this gorgeous town flood social media channels during the fall colors.
