Hey, it’s Nicole!

I’m from a suburb about 40 minutes outside downtown Cleveland, Ohio. I graduated college in 2017 with a Bachelors Degree in History and Political Science. I’ve always had a passion for history but never knew what I wanted to do with my degree. Similarly, I’ve always loved to explore places or go out in nature, but never really had anyone to go with me. Until one day I decided to change that, and went and explored my local National Park (Cuyahoga Valley). I fell in love, completely amazed at how I’ve lived 20 minutes away from the park my whole life and never visited. I quickly learned how much history was in the park, and it sparked my desire to explore and learn the history of those places I visit.

Photography is something I’ve loved for as long as I can remember. Whether it was taking photos on my old flip phone or a point and shoot cheap camera, I was always the weirdo taking photos of anything and everyone. I decided to take that love to the next level in 2018 when I bought my first camera. Ever since, I can’t stop taking pictures. Since I love writing and photography, I felt it was only fitting to start a blog and share these wonderful places I visit. I particularly love sharing Ohio spots, because up until around 2018, I always saw my home state as nothing special, so now that I know otherwise, I want to share those places with others and hope they experience those places as well.
